A Tour of the Afro-American Cultural Center at Yale University

And 10 Books to understand Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's legacy

Happy MLK day everyone! We were blessed to go on a tour of the Afro-American Cultural Center at Yale University, also known as AfAm House.

The House was established in the fall of 1969 in response to rising issues surrounding race and civil unrest at Yale and throughout the New Haven community. It was created to serve as a bridge between the University and the New Haven community, fostering connection and support.

A huge thank you to Dean Bethel and Alana for the hospitality and for reacquainting us with this historic and meaningful space. Hopefully, this marks the beginning of something special!

And to celebrate MLK Day here’s a book list by All Ways Black.
